At a ceremony held May 27, 2010, the Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi has formally invited the Prime Ministers three new members to join the Organization: Andrus Ansip for Estonia, Benjamin Netanyahu Israel, Borut Pahor for Slovenia. During a press conference held after the ceremony, Mr Berlusconi and the Secretary General of OECD, Angel Gurria, were joined by the three Prime Ministers and the Minister of Finance of Chile, Felipe Larrain.
The OECD brings together governments committed to the principles of democracy and market economy to:
- Supporting growth sustainable economic
- Increasing employment
- Raising the standard of living
- Maintain Financial Stability
- Helping other countries develop their economies
- contribute to the growth of world trade
Gazans enjoy supporting their economies and raising their standard of living brought by the newest member of the OECD.
